AAUTHRIZDENTERPRISE AUTHORITY

RESOURCE · AI AUTHORITY

The Login Was Real. The Token Was Real. The Authority Wasn't.

A flaw in the MCP Python SDK OAuth flow could expose legitimate credentials. Valid authentication still does not establish authority for the resulting effect.

The development

Cycode disclosed an OAuth vulnerability in the MCP Python SDK where a malicious MCP server could obtain sensitive OAuth material associated with a legitimate identity provider.

The authority gap

Downstream authentication may be valid while the resulting action still lacks legitimate enterprise authority.

The Authrizd approach

Authrizd treats identity and credentials as inputs, not authority itself. Authentication can be completely correct while authority is completely wrong.

Enterprise implication

AI capability should not silently expand enterprise authority. Consequential effects should be independently adjudicated and evidenced before execution.
